A Quick Traffic Report for my SFI Team Members

One of my SFI team members recently asked me………….
“I dont have much time to spare so how can I promote effectively?”

This is just a quick report on how to get you some free traffic!

I have had several of my new affiliates ask me about traffic methods, so here is what I’d do if I only had an hour spare a day!

The first thing you can do to generate more traffic is to use Traffic Exchanges

I’m writing about this first because its quick and easy to implement and you’ll have it all done in an hour or less! Also, this method works very well for me – so I suggest every one of my affiliate team members put this into place today!

And did I mention that’s it FREE!

Ok……..Traffic Exchanges (TE’s) provide targeted traffic to your website by showing your pages to their audience. You basically join for free, load your pages and banners up and then they start rotating in the traffic exchange system. Now, the best pages to use on TE’s are short and to the point as surfers are only required to stay on your page for as little as 10 seconds and up to 30 seconds per view.

As an affiliate, you have access to all these types of pages and banners in your back office. Just log in and find ‘Promotional Tools’ and pick the ones you like. As a matter of fact, all affiliate programs will offer you these type of tools because they want to make it easy for you to promote for them!

So, you now know where to find these promo tools, pick ones that are short and sweet for TE’s! You will soon work out that different advertising methods are required for each different tack you take in promoting your business.

For SFI, - you log in - then click on marketing in the menu. Next click on “marketing aids”.

You will now see a whole pile of “gateways”. (dont forget to read the marketing methods when you get a minute!)

These gateways are your own personal promotion pages that are precoded with your SFI ID numbers.

You will see gateways for Network Builder, Eye Earn, Maxmalls, Tuneflow etc etc as you go down the page.

All you need to do is copy and paste these gateway URL’s into your account at the TE’s. Its really very simple!

Next, you will want to sign up with a few TE’s. I have listed the ones I use below. I use these particular exchanges because they all offer some sort of bonus! And I like bonuses!

You are probably wondering why TE’s are free? Well, in essence, you receive page views for your pages – equivalent to the amount of pages you personally view. So, in order to earn credits so that your pages are advertised, you need to view other peoples advertised pages. This can take up a bit of time!

I don’t have heaps of spare time………..so in order to have ALL my sites rotating in ALL of the following exchanges, I just buy my credits! You can get really good deals and upgrades, so check it out if you have a little extra cash!

However, in saying that, if you surf all your Traffic Exchanges for an hour a day - you will create a heap of exposure for your own sites!

If I ever surf (which is hardly ever anymore!) I open all the exchanges in different tabs and then just click back and forth - which gets me a credit in each of say 10 exchanges every 10 seconds. So if you add that up, you could realisticly get around a few thousand credits in an hour!

Do that for an hour a day and you are off to a great start with your promotions.

But back to the FREE bit, you can join all these programs for NOTHING! You will just need to surf to get your credits!

And dont forget my top tip for you……….when you are surfing, open up a new tab for each of your exchange programs at once and then you are earning credits on every exchange at the same time!

Another quick tip before you start signing up is to pick a short and easy username and password and then use the same one on all your exchanges!

This little tip will save you heaps of time trying to find login information!

All of the above are 10 second timer TE’s. The ones below are 30 second timer TE’s. You can reduce the time you are required to view each page by upgrading. If you do upgrade, you will also recieve more credits per page viewed and you will get a monthly allowance of credits deposited straight into your account.

NOTE - Traffic Swarm is a great traffic exchange and I get very good traffic from there, but unless you are a heavy hitter, it is an expensive one to upgrade in, costing $30 dollars a month. If you are only going to promote SFI, traffic swarm will let you have 10 URL’s rotating for free anyway - so stick with that (unless you really want to upgrade - read the sales page to see the advantages)

Adpack network is great because you actually get paid to surf! Read the sales page!

Another bonus to upgrading is you will also be allocated a good number of banner views.
You can still earn banner views as free members - but if you are paying for your views with credits you have earnt, I suggest you just advertise your gateway pages as these convert at a much higher rate! I personally use pages, banners and text links at all exchanges!

If you are loading banners to your traffic exchanges, it is similar to loading the gateway URL’s but not the same!

When you “add site” which is what its called to load a page, you just enter the one URL that you copy and paste form SFI.

When you are adding banners, you do it in 2 parts.
Banners come in the form of html code. Dont worry this is easy, but I want to explain it because it took me quite a while to figure it out in the beginning of my internet days!

When you are loading banners in the TE’s, you add 2 bits of info.

One is the destination URL - this is where the people see when they click the banner, so one of my SFI destination URL’s would be:
http://moreinfo247.com/10101010/EE
If you click that link, it will take you to an Eye Earn sales page.

Two is the banner URL - this is the address where the picture/banner that you click is hosted (which is at SFI), so the banner URL would be:
https://www.sfimg.com/Images/Banners/banner326.jpg

NOTE - if you just load this banner URL. you will get the picture but it wont go anywhere when you click! (Doh!)

So - you must load banners in 2 parts - once you are in your TE, just open another tab and login to SFI then you can just copy and paste the info you need.

HINT - the banner URL will always start with http:// or https:// and end in .jpg or .gif - these are picture extensions and the destination URL will always start with http:// or https:// and will have your ID number in it!

DONT FORGET - it doesnt matter what focus you have chosen to pursue with SFI - you can still promote ALL products! I do - and so should you!

SAFELISTS.

Safelists are lists you join so that you can send solo emails to the rest of the list membership!
You will receive emails from the membership to you in return.
I suggest opening a G-Mail account specifically for the purpose.

Safelists work in a similar way to TE’s in that you get credits for opening emails. Then you use your credits to send emails out!
This is a very straight forward idea and you can also load your banners to the safelists and they will rotate at the top of the emails that are sent out.

OK………the most responsive safelists for me at the moment are:

Enterprise Ad Exchange
Jerry has a great deal for start up and you can earn heaps of extras around the site just by collecting Star Wars words!
I think he’s a trekky from way back!…..lol - This is doing very well for me - its new and very responsive.

Spectacular Exchange
This one has got heaps of features and you can buy 50 solo emails for a tiny $10! Of course you can get them for free aswell!

The Little Guy
has a good solid base membership of over 1000

and Exchangin Ads
is working well for me too!

Just a few I dont recommend you bother with because they have dreadful admin support - are Aussie safelist and InetGiant. Even though I am a member of both of these, I wouldnt suggest joining unless you really know what you are doing because there is zero help available!

Another good resource that is quick to establish and actually requires no ongoing work is Respondoo.

Respondoo’s main function is as a search engine with some extra great features.

You list all your gateway pages and can also create search ads which people can respond to with a click - its great!
You also get to choose keywords to link your pages to, so when people search you come up in the top positions for your chosen keywords.
Respondoo is also FREE!

Dont forget you can make money by referring people that upgrade aswell - so extra income streams for you too!

So - you want to make money online? I hope you’re tough! You’ll need to be!

Do you remember when “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” first came on TV? It was huge! For a while anyway. It wasn’t long before the novelty wore off and the show died! Now, I think its on about 3.30am! Well that’s how fast your online career can die too - unless you are tough! Everybody wants to make money online, but when they find out that there is actual work involved…most of them are gone too!

So….lets understand whats going on! Where does the problem stem from? Well we’ll have to dig deep into the mind of the typical lazy person. Now I’m not saying that everybody is lazy, but you know these people are in trouble when the first thing out of their mouth is….”I wanna make money online fast.” Surely you can see whats coming? NOTHING! Nothing at all!

Why do people think like that? Why is it that so many people think that earning a living online should and will happen overnight? Well, to really understand this sort of thinking, take a drive down the street and see how many fast food places you come across, check out the world with its fast food, microwave meals, pay per view TV, and the list goes on and on. Most things in life you can get now if you want too! Why do you think Maccas and HJ’s(Burger King) even started? It was because people didn’t have time to cook anymore or to sit down to a meal so then came drive throughs! So asking them to take the time to build a business is like asking them to pull out all their teeth!

So I ask the question that I posed in the title of this article again. So, who wants to make money online?

You have to be tough and determined! If you understand that it’s going to take a solid business plan to get started that’s a good start.

If you understand that it’s going to take some investment of capital and that it’s very difficult to run an online business without spending money you’re getting there!

If you realize that it’s going to take months of hard work, 14 hour days and very little sleep to really build something worthwhile and it’ll be months before you see any significant amount of income, you are cooking with gas!

Now if you get that much, you just might have a shot at being in the 5% of those who actually make it! If you want to make money online tread carefully before you jump in!

Burn Out! It sucks, but it happens to all of us at some time.
I admit, burn out doesn’t happen to me that often, but I am finding just lately, that I have bitten off a bit more than I can chew!

So what do you do when you find yourself suffering from burn out? or that you’re stressed out and you feel like you just can’t do it anymore?

Well, these handy hints have helped me through the bad times, in particular the bad time Im facing right now! Read on to find some ways to deal with burn out.

Well, I think you have to get away from your work. Its usually work that is the instigator in burn out! Heaps of people try to work through it, but that doesn’t work for me - it just makes the problem worse. When my mind wants to go on strike, I have no choice but to give it a rest.

I used to be an entertainer! One thing I really enjoy is singing. I don’t know what your interests are, but there’s got to be something you do for relaxation. So - Just do it! Get away from your work and pretend like work doesn’t exist for a while! (lucky I have my own decked out music room!)

Secondly, after you have had a bit of a relax and you start stressing because you should get back to work, just sit down and write up a list. Make it really basic and simple to start. If you are suffering burn out because you’ve been too hard at work, make a list that will be easy to achieve.

I might make my list so easy that it only has 2 or 3 things on it, and I make sure I don’t do anything else. This is good for two reasons. The first good thing is that at least I’ve accomplished something during my day and the second is that I dont put any pressure on myself, because although 2-3 things is about 1/20 of what I would normally do, doing something is definately better than nothing!

Soon, as you start getting back into the swing of things, you can increase your regular work load back to a sensible amount to avoid future burn out! If you find that doing more increases your level of stress and possible future burnout, then don’t go there! Don’t go beyond your limit again.

You need to learn to recognize your trigger switch! Learn to cut yourself off. This can be so terribly hard for me, but sometimes I just have to stop! It can be extra hard when you’re first building your new business, or your business is already successful and you want to keep it going that way - but getting to where you are is how you got to feeling how you do - burnt out!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a tough act to perform! But with time and experience, you’ll get good at it.
I hope I get better at it too!

Do you want your own home business? Ever thought, OMG! where do I start?
Did you know that most people who want to start up a home business have no clue where to even begin. So, if you feel the same - you are not alone!

Some of these people look at their computer screen as if it were blank, and even if its not - it may as well be for all the good it’s going to do! So where do you start?
In this little article, I will give you some hints on where to start with your new home business!

The first thing you should do is sit down and think about what you already know about and like to do. Everybody, no matter how boring they seem, has interests and expertise in some area. Most interests, can be easily monetized, unless your hobby is underwater pole vaulting, in which case you probably won’t find much of a demand. But if you’re a typical average Joe or Jolene, there’s a good chance that one of your interests can be turned into a part time or even full time income, with a home business.

The next step is to put these interests down on paper and go search the Internet to see if you can find any related info on them. For example, let’s say that your interest is fishing. Maybe you’re even a very good fisherman. Maybe you even have a new or improved way of pulling fish from the water! You might even think your way is quite unique and may be something that you could teach to others. So, what you do is go online and see if there are already fisherman sites or information courses being sold. If there are, (and obscure as it sounds - I know there is plenty of ‘fisherman’ info on the net) then there is certainly a market for this niche.

Ok…the third thing to do is to see how much competition you’re going to have if you go ahead with this new home business. Now, I’m definately not suggesting that if there is a lot of competition that you can the idea, but at go in with your eyes wide open and know what you’re getting yourself into before you get into it! An easy way to find out how much competition you have is to go back to google and see how many other web sites there are for fisherman type things. If there are millions, you’ve got your work cut out for you. If there are thousands, it should be relatively easy!

The next thing to do in working out whether your idea for a home business is a good one, is to actually start working out how you’re going to monetize this specialized area or niche. Are you going to write an ebook on fishing, maybe the best fishing spots? Maybe you’ll put together a course on DVD with actual videos. I dont know much about fishing, but maybe how to scale, clean or fillet? maybe how to choose the best sinkers? Video courses are huge today and people will pay good dollars for them if they are well done. My point is, you need to work out just how you’re going to present your product to the market, assuming there is one, and get them to buy.

After all, a home business wont make any money without some kind of sales!
